Hi These types of puzzles already exist but they tend to ignore the sudoku type grid. It is just a collection of usually letters, where you have to divide the grid in sections with the given letters, say A-E or A-H. They are fun and can be very challenging. Not sure if i can quickly find some exampl...

Has anyone ever been able to figure out this puzzle? .... I suppose one could begin by assuming the usual newspaper symmetry among the givens. That is, if there is a given at row R column C, there is also a given at row 10-R column 10-C. In the stated puzzle, in addition to the original givens, the...

It doesn't matter what digits are there. The area is always isolated. The three holes all can't be innies as you would lock off an uneven number of cells otherwise.

Haven't had time to solve much lately. I think i have 8 or more killers to check back on. I will try to get something done before the e...

I'd ask Andrew, he's also an excel solver.

DominoCue can't seem to move past a square isolation move. Even if it actually does do something, it keeps referring back to this move.

Hi all Here's my walk-through for Bullseye 3. Had to resort one trick and a "Richard-style 45-tests" but happy with the general result. Those big 45-tests are pretty cool to do, but a monster to analyze, so you have to carefully set your restrictions to get the proper results. [edit] As Af...

Hi all This RP doesn't match up with the 60RP or even 60RP-lite. It is fun to solve. The opening is very friendly, but needed some nice moves towards the end. Walk-through A79-RP 1. 10(3) at R1C2 = {127/136/145/235}: no 8,9 2. R3C34 and R7C67 = {17/26/35}: no 4,8,9 3. 19(3) at R3C9 = {289/379/469/47...

Just a comment on one point If the humans are agreed that this puzzle doesn't have that extra 'trick' essential to a 1.75 rating puzzle ... Is that a new requirement? As far as I'm concerned a 1.75 rating requires either an extra 'trick' or a lot of very difficult work. Am I wrong to include the se...

Hi Actually it is Rejected Pattern. Ruud intended to make an assassin with this pattern but couldn't get the difficulty spot on with this pattern so he changed it a little: he split the two S-shaped tetris pieces in the left top and right bottom corner in two 2 cell cages. I suspected it to be eithe...
