I'd like to specify exactly which cells will be filled when generating a puzzle -- though in some cases it could take a very long time for some masks -- some would be impossible. It would be nice to be able to generate a puzzle at one difficulty level, then keep the same mask and create another and another. Specific placement of clues can create unusual sequences that can be fun to explore. Certain masks are more likely than other to require certain tactics. (At least one site has daily puzzles of different levels using the same mask.)

Hi,

I use this pattern-based generation in another program when I generate puzzles for my Clueless Specials (where I need 9 puzzles with a single pattern)

I will put it on my todo list, so you'll see this in a future version.

thanks for your input,

Ruud
