Samurai #71

The puzzle was solved in a few minutes by line box reductions and naked singels only in the center puzzle. Obviously a computer generated puzzle. Had Ruud been around this puzzle would never have been posted.

How to make clueless explosions

In response to the challenge posed by Glyn some days ago I have designed a program that creates clueless puzzles (both explosion and special). The program is based on principles similar (but in reverse) to those I applied last year when my one minute solving times created so much commotion (see thre...

Jean-Christophe, If you are certain that that you have found the "correct" Ruud's address and phone number why don't you do all of us a favor. Please call him up and ask him what's going on. For the speculations about the Boskoop location: I can't imagine Ruud as a florist regardless of th...

Thanks Marlie, I think we can all be relieved that Ruud seems to be OK. But on the other hand that makes me even more concerned about him not responding and the future of this website. Rgds, Tomas PS. Borge, it seems that I have path similar to yours. I was born in Sweden and spent some time in Kiru...

I have also sent Ruud an e-mail but I have yet to get any response.
This is indeed unlike Ruud and I hope everything is OK with him and
that this site remains in business, including the "explosions".

I don't see "hours left until next Clueless Special". Since this is normally announced within 24 hours of posting I suspect we won't see any Clueless Special tomorrow either.

Clueless Special 78

Hi Ruud,

I agree with lynn893. This was the easiest clueless ever. Quickly solved with line box interactions only. Maybe "Very Hard" is a misnomer.

Samurai 36

Ruud,

After having completed Samurai 36 I recalled having seen it before.
It appears that it is very similar to Samurai 21 - Very Hard. Most pairs and triplets are identical and in exactly the same locations. Are your games varieties based on a set of basic templates?

Best Regards,

Tomas

Clueless Helper

Ruud, Although I am a beginner at using Clueless Helper I think there are some features that would improve this already great program for me (this goes for Sudocue as well): 1. I noticed that the window maximize button is disabled. Why not provide the user the option to maximize the window and using...

Clueless Explosion #42

Glyn, Thanks for your understanding. Although the computer program does not exist as a computer file I have it 100% memorized and the program could easily be recreated quickly. The program, or algoritm, typically gives me a solution within a few seconds. What probably makes it different is that besi...

Clueless Explosion #42

Hi Shoebear, Lynn893 and all You are absolutely right. I started to solve sudoko puzzles some months ago and I can still be considered a rookie. I started to submit solutions to the Clueless and Samurai games some weeks ago. I am a fast solver and I normally use the traditional means of solving the ...
