I think I just like the puzzles that use a lot of center-dot logic. This one needed some patience, but didn't end up requiring any of the techniques where you have to break out the red, blue, green and purple crayons and have an advanced degree in astrophysics to figure them out.... Didn't realize 8...

I skipped #8a and went straight to #8c. Very nice, one of my favorites.

Finished #4A, found it easier than the other ones you've rated Tough. Maybe I am just in good form today. 8-) At some point I'll set aside my seafood allergy and give #4C a shot.

Extra super ultra hard has to be named after Marlie, as she's the only one who admitted to finishing the DOAGs.

Agreed. No one is too busy to show up at their own website once in three months for a proper goodbye. This move is not temporary. See y'all at Richard's.

Yes, "hard" is about right. Definitely in the normal range of difficulty of the contest samurais. Noticeably easier than the SCS/SCEs have been -- which I appreciate, as I like a little more relaxing challenge on a Monday night  This did not feel like a randomly generated puzzle at al...

Agree with the above -- this was quite enjoyable, and on the difficult side.

I wouldn't mind X-wings, but that's about it. I don't like seafood, sudoku-wise.

I was using center dot techniques for SCE#6 all along. Using Jsudoku as a solver (and seeing all grids simultaneously) makes this an intuitive technique, as once you have identified an intersection in the clueless grid (in the example above, '8' is locked in the middle column of the third nonet of t...

I solved the first version using Jsudoku. I agree with the "hard" rating. It is comparable in difficulty to Ruud's easier Cluelesses. I can handle a little more difficult (but not a lot) so maybe I will try the "extra hard" version next time. Very enjoyable. Thanks to Børge for c...

Børge, this is extremely impressive. I tried to develop something along these lines myself, but I found that it was significantly beyond my VBA skills. I'll be the first in line to sing your praises if you come up with something you're willing to share!

Concurring with hoping all is well with Ruud.

And thanks, Børge! That's one I never got around to solving.
