Competition ranking

Post by Nasenbaer »

Just found the competition ranking. Well, an extra point for speed is ok. But then I would suggest that you choose another day to publish the clueless, preferably saturday (switch it with explosion), so that those of us with the cursed word "work" hanging over them have a chance to win the speed-point.

(Just have a look when I submitted my last solution! And I already know that the earliest time to have a look at the upcoming clueless will be wednesday evening...) :(

Well, dear clueless friends, what do you think about that?

Greetings,

Hi Peter,

This request has also been made by Marlie and Gemma. Too late to change it this weekend, but next week I will move the Clueless to Saturday, 12:00 CET. This gives everybody, regardless of their timezone, the opportunity to finish the puzzle in the weekend and earn the extra point.

extra points

Post by Pete »

I feel uncofortable being ahead of that other Peter
perhaps an extra point for 48 hours instead

the other people on the list have been here for several months before me

how about
1 within a week
1.5 3 days
1.6 2 days
1.7 1 day
1.8 12 hour
1.9 6 hour
or some fraction 1 for a solve plus ( 7*24- timeforsolving)/(7*24)

then under 15Min only gets 1.9995 or so and ill still be behind the old regulars.

clueless saturday

Post by Pete »

I see now these revelations come more and more infrequently as I get older.

So at least 4 people read the forum.

Ruud sometimes has a bit of free time too.

submissions

Post by Pete »

I got in a hurry and submitted my answer aftercareful checking...
I found out the puzzle was correct and solved completely.

I submitted the answer to puzzle 1 instead of the blue one in the center... does this count for a point since it happened in the same day?

This depends on the mood of the webmaster.

Fortunately for you, the webmaster is in a good mood today. 8-)

I dropped your incorrect entry and changed the email address in the other entry.
