SCS #1: Generated with JSudoku + 1 Clue by me.

Post by Børge »

Substitute Clueless Special #1

Rating based on required solving techniques: Tough
My personal rating based on actual solving: Tough / Hard

This one was generated with JSudoku. I just added a single clue to get rid of some advanced techniques required.
I have not yet tried to solve it manually myself but from the required techniques listed by JSudoku, I would say that this one can maximum be rated Hard.
EDIT: After having solved it myself, I would rate it in the twilight zone between Tough and Hard.

Anyone disagreeing, please say so!

For the first one, I agree with a "Hard" rating.
I still miss the CluelessHelper ease of use, but I am getting better at using SudokuSolver user interfase. I prefer and not to type the puzzle again.
The solution I got: 261975384839412765547368219628534971975126843314897526456289137192743658783651492

I solved the first version using Jsudoku. I agree with the "hard" rating. It is comparable in difficulty to Ruud's easier Cluelesses. I can handle a little more difficult (but not a lot) so maybe I will try the "extra hard" version next time.

Very enjoyable. Thanks to Børge for creating, and Jean-Christophe for the excellent update to Jsudoku!
