Windows Large Fonts (125 dpi)

Post by BillMcIver »

I have recently downloaded Sudocue and an very pleased with it (donation made!)

There is a GUI problem; it seems to have been designed for Small Fonts so, on my screen, some words run into each other - particularly on the status bar and the pop up "Displace" etc box.

Any chance of doing something about this in future releases?

Also, as I use 1600x1200 resolution, can the maximum size grid be made larger (or the program window be made sizeable)?

Hi Bill,

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for your donation.

I have checked SudoCue with 120 dpi and indeed it looks ugly. It should not be too difficult to fix this font problem. I will resize the text areas depending on the font settings.

Unfortunately, the way I draw the grid makes it impossible for me to use a sizable window. Fixed sizes allow me to keep an acceptable performance when the grid is drawn with all markups and highlights. I've tried to use the drawing tools available in the .Net Framework, but Microsoft is unable to draw nice circles.

The best option for me is to add a larger predefined size, which I can do in the next release.

cheers,
Ruud.
