Scramble LITE.
Scramble LITE.
I know that scramble could protect most symmetry and still change
puzzles enough that they would be new.
Pretty much I'd like three remake settings.
"Renumber" should be a toggle. It can help people see
that shuffling has no true effect on a puzzle.
"Shuffle", that is movements that do not ruin symmetry
and yet change a puzzle's appearance.
A good shuffle is to take the top 3X9 and swap it with the bottom 3X9.
Now take the left 9X3 and swap it with the right 9X3.
Symmetry is preserved and you have a very new look.
There are row/column swaps as well.
"Scramble" is aptly named. I way prefer symmetry, many don't care!

The "shuffle" function would be dependent on the current symmetry type. There aren't many shuffle possibilities for diagonal symmetry types.
Anyhow, I'll put it on the wishlist, but it has a low priority.

It is far better than your current shuffle.Ruud wrote:The "shuffle" function would be dependent on the current symmetry type. There aren't many shuffle possibilities for diagonal symmetry types.

Why would it be a low priority, considering that you worked to make shuffle an option?
Who wants an un-symmetric puzzle? Anyone??
Sheesh
