Yes, "hard" is about right. Definitely in the normal range of difficulty of the contest samurais. Noticeably easier than the SCS/SCEs have been -- which I appreciate, as I like a little more relaxing challenge on a Monday night
This did not feel like a randomly generated puzzle at all. Quite impressive.

jsmif, thanks for the feedback.
Please bear with me while I familiarize myself with the Sudokus my software generate, which only can be done by generating and (time consuming) solving. Generating puzzles is still an unfamiliar terrain for me. Originally I was afraid, that I could not generate challenging enough puzzles but that seems not to be the problem.
Yesterday I started solving SCE #8 and figured out that it is way too difficult, although the required solving techniques are rated Barely Hard. I will generate another (much) easier puzzle. Until I have gathered more experience I will try to generate puzzles on the easier side than on the more difficult. At least until I get complaints about the puzzles being too easy.

This was a very goog Sudoku
Dificult, but it was always possible to move forward, that I appreciate.

Thanks for the 'substitute' samurai!

The first seemed too easy at the start, but the later parts I had more than enough challenge.
This one seemed to start a bit slower but overall about the same difficulty. I need to master spotting skyscrapers and 2 string kites I reckon.

That was a nice puzzle, thanks Børge!
The difficulty was good for me, I don't like it (much) harder. As I said in your explosion poll "Tough is enough".
Cheers,
