Just wanted you to know that I'm really enjoying the puzzles on the specialty page. I'm a rank beginner (mostly naked/hidden singles/pairs), so I'm not getting through them very fast, but they're a nice change of pace all the same. I'm enjoying your descriptions just as much, particularly the one about the Queen's Day Special.

I've discovered a number of your other specialty puzzles hidden in the forums (and on other forums). Would it be possible for you to at least make an announcement and a link on the specialty page and/or the news page so we don't miss them? There are several that I saw yesterday, and now I can't find them anymore (i.e. Clueless #4a, #4b, #4c, #4d, etc.). It would also be nice to be able to see the ones on the Dutch forums (I can't even read enough Dutch to register).

Thanks again for all you do!

Thanks, Marlie! I'm not sure which forum it is. It's a Dutch Sudoku forum--maybe Ruud's.

I saw a post the other day on a forum (either here or sudoku.org.uk) that had links to about eight of Ruud's Clueless puzzles. I saved the puzzles that I could get to, but now I can't find that post, even after doing a search on both forums. Several of the puzzles that were mentioned in the post are on that Dutch forum (which requires registration). I can pick out a few words here and there (based on my smattering of German), but not enough to make it through the registration process.

I do remember that another of the puzzles was called Clueless #18a, and I think that one was on the Dutch forum, as well. The post had links to #4a, #4b, #4c, #4d, #14a, #18a, and I believe several others. What was the date that Clueless #4a was posted?

If anyone can help me find that post that had the links, I would appreciate it very much.

This is the Dutch forum where i come most of the time.
You have to register first because that topic is for users only.
After register you can log in(inloggen) with your password(wachtwoord.)
When you did this i will help you further. When register doesn't work let me now i help you with this too. When you are German i can explain it in German it is easier for me.
(This puzzel 4 a is made in june 2006 by Ruud)

Thanks, Marlie! I managed to get registered, but I can't read very much without a (very bad) online translator. I was hoping the PROMT online translator would have Dutch, because it seems to do a good job translating between English and German, but Dutch is not one of the languages available on the PROMT site.
When you are German i can explain it in German it is easier for me.
I read very little German, just enough to help me pick out a few familiar words in Dutch, and to understand most of the entries in an Ortssippenbuch. I do much better in Spanish, if you can read and write that.

I still haven't found the post with the links to those puzzles, though.

Finally found that post I was looking for!! WOOHOO!! It's here:

http://www.sudoku.com/boards/viewtopic. ... f4b5134fb1

As mentioned, several of the puzzles linked to in the message are on the Dutch forum, and you have to register (free) to get to them. I don't read Dutch at all, but the registration should look familiar enough to you to figure out. After that, you can select English (or a bunch of other languages) as your default, and all of the navigation will then be in your chosen language. (Messages will still be mostly in Dutch, although the babelfish online translator will at least give you a clue as to what is being discussed.)

There are a bunch of REALLY cool puzzles from Ruud there that I haven't seen anywhere else, so it's definitely worth your while to register and browse around.
