Variant Techniques

Just curious if there is a listing somewhere that has techniques that can be used to solve the the different variant puzzles (X, WinDoku, Asterisk, CenterDot, Disjoint Groups) that are above and beyond the techniques needed for a standard sudoku puzzle?
It would be nice to find such a list and use it as a reminder to check for these special techniques.
