Some of you may have already figured this one out, but it's new to me and probably to others still learning the ins and outs of Sudoku, especially the overlapping puzzles.
It isn't really a solving technique--more of a method of operation, but I'm finding it helpful to write out my solving path (currently working on "My First Samurai" from the Specials page). That way, if I make a mistake, I can backtrack instead of starting over. It takes a little bit of time (and a LOT of paper) to write it all down, but I figure that starting over would take a lot more time, as well as being extremely frustrating and discouraging.
