Substitute Samurai #1.

Substitute Samurai #1

This is the best that I can do on a short notice with limited time at my disposal. This puzzle is generated by JSudoku with several additional clues by me.

Rating based on required solving techniques: Extra Hard
My personal rating based on actual solving: Hard

Except for a single non-basic technique this Samurai is pretty straight forward.
Below the code you can find a four step hidden hint regarding the non-basic technique. Select a step to read it.
If you do not know this technique, it is time to learn it. Hint 1 includes a URL.
It is only a tiny tick more difficult to learn than an X-Wing is and often easier to find.

Hint 1: The non-basic technique is a 2-String Kite

Hint 2: There is a 2-String Kite for 3.

Hint 3: There is a 2-String Kite for 3 in grid 5 (the bottom right one).

Hint 4: Pencil 3 can be eleiminated in g5:r2c5. Here a picture showing the 2-String Kite

Alternate hint 1: There is also a skyscraper on same digit and location, which is probably easier to spot.

JC, I beg to differ.
For someone unfamiliar with these techniques, I think that it in this special case it is more difficult to reason out the logic behind your alternative.
For the records, here the complete picture.

Well, the logic is exactly the same, but personally, I find it easier to spot the pattern I mentioned in particular since: it's confined in two adjacent rows and is almost an X-Wing

Note: The skyscraper eliminates 3 from both r2c5 and r5c4 at once

What I meant by logic is the reasoning behind the elimination(s). As with many other things in life, personal taste factors in.
I surrender to your logical eliminations  (sure you not have green blood?) and have updated the complete picture.
