Thanks Mike. I feel like I've abandoned/missed out on all the other great things happening here - Nouggie's first walkthrough, A61X....64V2, TJK 032, rating sticky etc etc...[edit: and Para's Unsolvables - aaarghmhparker wrote:thanks for all your great work on this, Ed!![]()
Good point.....the fact that A64V2 SScore is so far off shows this. Hope it doesn't need 9 categories though!mhparker wrote:I'm wondering whether you've created enough categories
Not at all. Using solving times for each level of ticked boxes as the basic measure. Time will tell how valid that is.mhparker wrote:Also, (how) are you considering the number of steps?
It seems to be very, very consistent each time it does the same puzzle with the same techniques ticked - and does vary according to the version of SS. Unfortunately, I've now worked out I used some of the weightings for the above SScores from a previous version of SS - so another reason they will be off. I'll edit that post.mhparker wrote:Richard's solver would in theory have to strictly apply the moves in their difficulty order
Looks like I'll be neglecting everything for a bit yet. I'll see what happens this week and post next Sunday with progress.
Cheers
