I wil try to make the jigsaw today, but, i must ask to een hint .

can someone tell me what i must do, when the hint tels me :

Law and Leftovers elimination in rows 8-9

If dutch people wil react, please in dutch.

Ik ben de jigsaw van vandaag aan het proberen te maken, en nu ik om een hint moet vragen (ja sorry, this nog niet mijn beste puzzel soort), geeft hij bovenstaande aan.
Ik weet dat ik in rij 8 en 9 iets moet zoeken, maar ik zie het niet, wat bedoelt word met Law and Leftovers.

Ik probeer de puzzel te plaatsen, maar gaat niet helemaal zoals het moet.

Het is trouwens Law of Leftovers (vaak afgekort tot LoL). Ik heb in een andere thread al een stukje er over uitgelegd. Er zit ook een link bij naar de uitleg van Sudopedia. Misschien kun je dat eerst lezen en als je het dan nog vragen hebt moet je ze gewoon stellen.

Maybe you have solved this now, if not I can explain this step as I am still coming to terms with it myself.

We still need a digit 1 for rows 8 and 9. They can only come from three different jigsaw pieces (Nonets 7, 8 and 9).

If you choose to pick digit 1 from the left hand and middle pieces (Nonets 7 and 9) then it is still possible to have a digit 1 in the right hand piece (Nonet 8) either at R6C8 or R6C9.

If you place a digit 1 in row 8 or row 9 for the right hand piece (Nonet 8), then there are not enough rows available to place digit 1 in the left and middle pieces (Nonets 7 and 9). Therefore R8C8 and R9C9 cannot be 1.

Ik zou eigenlijk voorstellen om Law of Leftovers op Rij 789. Dit geeft ons makkelijkere eliminaties maar vooral we krijgen een nieuw cijfer om te plaatsen.

Dus we trekken een lijn tussen Rij 6 en 7.

Boven de lijn hebben we R6C189 en onder de lijn hebben we R7C34 + R8C4.
We weten dat R7C4 = 1. Dus in R6C189 moet ook een 1 komen. Deze kan alleen in R6C89. Dus kunnen we 1 elimineren uit alle cellen die zowel R6C8 als R6C9 zien. Dus er kunnen we de 1 elimineren uit R6C7, R8C8 en R9C9.
Daarnaast weten we ook dat R6C1 = 2. Dus moet er een 2 komen in de cellen onder de lijn. Deze kan alleen komen in R7C3 of R8C4. Daarom kunnen we de 2 elimineren uit alle cellen die zowel R7C3 als R8C4 zien. Dus kunnen we de 2 elimineren uit R4C4.

And in English.

I would actually suggest Law of Leftovers on Row 789. This gives nicer eliminations but mostly it gives us a digit.

A line between R6 and R7.

Above the line are R6C189 and under the line R7C34 and R8C4.
We know that R7C4 = 1. So one of R6C189 needs to be 1. The 1 can only go in R6C8 or R6C9 and can't be in any cell that see both these cells. So we can eliminate 1 from R6C7, R8C8 and R9C9.
Then there is a second one that is a bit more difficult but uses the same principle. R6C1 = 2. This can only go in R7C3or R8C4. So R7C3 or R8C4 needs to contain a 2. So we can eliminate 2 from all cells that see both R7C3 and R8C4. Therefor we can eliminate 2 from R4C4.

Ja, ik heb hem succesvol af kunnen maken, beetje laat (druk geweest), maar het is me gelukt.
Ik snap nu ook de L of L. En iik denk dat ik die techniek al vaker gebruikt heb, zonder te weten dat het L of L genaamd was.
